Job Summary

This specialized role seeks a Hardware Engineer focusing on Safety Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems within the power plant sector, based in Erlangen. The primary responsibility involves generating comprehensive manufacturing documentation for safety-critical control cabinets, ensuring functional requirements are accurately translated onto qualified hardware platforms. Day-to-day tasks include performing essential electrical calculations, such as determining current consumption, power loss, and voltage drop, alongside estimating operating temperatures within the cabinets. The engineer will utilize a document management system for administrative tasks and coordinate extensively with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to finalize customer documentation. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, possess initial professional experience in this domain, and demonstrate specific knowledge of power plant construction and safety control technology. Fluency in both German and English is a mandatory prerequisite for effective communication in this environment.
