Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer specializing in power electronics to join a leading company in Marine Systems and Shipbuilding based in Kiel. The core responsibilities involve the full lifecycle development of power electronic components, such as inverters and DC-DC converters, moving from the initial concept phase through to series production. Day-to-day tasks include circuit design and layout creation using ECAD tools like Altium Designer, alongside complex simulation and analysis of electrical behavior (current, voltage, and EMC) utilizing tools such as SPICE and PLECS. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for prototyping, debugging, and validation using advanced measurement equipment, and component selection based on strict quality and reliability standards (MIL-STD and IEC). Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, deep knowledge of power electronics development, and experience with FPGA and Microcontroller programming.
