Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the safety, quality, and sustainability of electrical and safety-related systems by performing independent inspections according to building regulations. The Electrical Engineering Inspector will conduct initial and recurring tests on electrical installations, safety power supply, emergency lighting, fire alarm, and alerting systems. A key focus is maintaining and improving electrical safety and preventing fire hazards in electrical systems. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably possesses certification as an accredited expert for safety-related systems (Prüfsachverständiger) or VdS expert, or is willing to obtain it quickly. This position requires strong communication skills, a driving license, and the willingness to travel for fieldwork, primarily within the Berlin/Brandenburg region.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field; Technical vocational training is advantageous; Accreditation as an expert inspector for safety-related systems (Prüfsachverständiger) or VdS expert is ideal.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems (desirable)
  • Readiness to be trained as an accredited expert for safety-related systems (if not already certified)
