Job Summary

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust data solutions across all architectural layers, specifically supporting the Global Procurement division of BASF Coatings Group. The engineer will be crucial in acquiring and integrating data from enterprise systems to create high-quality Data Products for analytics and AI applications. Key responsibilities include developing frameworks for business-context modeling, operationalizing AI models, and implementing agentic workflows to automate data and process flows. The ideal candidate possesses a university degree in informatics or a related field, several years of hands-on experience with data platforms (ideally Databricks), and strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Success in this position requires a structured, analytical mindset, excellent collaboration skills, and fluency in English, with German skills being a plus, to drive innovation and measurable business impact across global stakeholders.
