Job Summary

This is a one-year, part-time (75%) Research Associate position at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, focusing on quantum theory and solid-state physics within the Institute for Quantum Theory of Solids. The successful candidate will conduct scientific research under the direction of the working group leader, specifically investigating spinarons in nanoscale systems and transport phenomena at the nanoscale. Key responsibilities include advancing an Ab-initio methodology for many-body interactions, publishing and presenting research findings, and undertaking teaching duties (2 SWS). The role requires a Master's degree in Physics or equivalent, fundamental knowledge of electronic structure theory and solid-state physics, and interest in analytical model development and programming.   • The position is temporary (one year contract) and part-time (75%).
