Job Summary

This role involves acting as the primary liaison between the client and the technical teams within a defense-focused engineering consultancy. The Customer Interface and System Requirements Manager will maintain a continuous presence at the customer site, capturing operational needs, constraints, and desired features. A core function is the structured translation of these customer requirements into system, functional, and operational specifications. You will assess the relevance, priority, and technical feasibility of requests, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and development capabilities. This requires close coordination with system engineering, flight test, and product management. Candidates must possess a technical background, experience in customer-facing technical roles, and ideally, familiarity with unmanned aerial systems or the defense sector. The position offers involvement in current security policy topics and requires strong German communication skills and willingness to undergo a security clearance.

Required Skills

Education

Technical study background (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar)

Experience

  • Experience in customer or interface-adjacent roles (e.g., System Engineering, Technical Sales, Application Engineer, Product Owner with technical focus)
  • Experience handling non-technical and technical stakeholders
  • Professional experience in the security or defense-adjacent environment (Ideally)

Languages

German (Fluent)
