Job Summary
This Senior Software Developer role focuses on driving the development and maintenance of applications and scripts within the market-leading ServiceNow platform for one of Europe's largest bank IT service providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include taking technical ownership for platform developments, ensuring quality through rigorous software testing, test automation, and code reviews, and providing architectural consultation to specialist departments regarding implementation requirements. You will also be responsible for continuous operation and maintenance of custom platform developments, requirements gathering, and technically leading ServiceNow implementation projects. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT background, coupled with 6 or more years of dedicated experience developing on ServiceNow, ideally holding CSA and CAD certifications. Required technical expertise includes extensive professional experience with JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. This position offers the chance to shape the digital future of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in either Hannover or Münster.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or vocational training with an IT background (e.g., IT Specialist)
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development
- Extensive professional experience in software development using JavaScript, HTML, and SQL
- Experience leading ServiceNow implementation projects
- Professional experience in continuous operation and maintenance of software platforms

- Location in Hannover or Münster; ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications preferred; Permanent contract.
