Job Summary

This role involves working within the High Voltage Control Center team in Arnsberg, focusing on the safe and reliable management of complex high and medium-voltage grids (110 kV and 30 kV) amidst the energy transition. The Electrical Engineer will independently monitor and operate these networks, coordinate switching operations for maintenance and construction projects, and manage all measures during system failures, making autonomous decisions regarding the deployment of internal departments and external partners. A key focus is ensuring a secure power supply despite changing power flows due to decentralized renewable energy sources, requiring proficiency in network switching and Redispatch measures. This position is vital for managing the transition from centralized to decentralized energy generation, offering a dynamic environment to contribute to energy system optimization, including integrating renewable generation, gas/heat network optimization, battery usage, and eMobility.

Required Skills

Education

University or Technical College Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • Successfully completed university or technical college degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Initial professional experience in the field (ideally)
  • Knowledge of network control and network calculation systems (ideally)
