Job Summary

This role involves working for Germany's competence center for the management of radioactive waste, ensuring the highest safety standards are met until final disposal. The IT Security Manager, based in Essen, will be responsible for developing comprehensive IT concepts to implement security best practices and leading projects focused on building and harmonizing IT security solutions across multiple sites. Day-to-day tasks include creating IT security analyses, policies, and guidelines, verifying their implementation, and providing expert advice to colleagues on cross-site security issues. The position also requires participation in the management of IT security incidents. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional training combined with several years of relevant experience in IT security, along with strong project management skills and excellent written communication abilities for drafting analyses and statements.
