Job Summary

This role involves scientific collaboration focusing on facade greening systems within the Entomology department of a leading German natural history museum (SMNS), in partnership with the University of Stuttgart. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing standardized methods for biodiversity assessment on green facades, including planning surveys, conducting morphological determination, and eDNA sampling. Key duties include robust data management, statistical analysis, visualization, and creating comprehensive reports. The associate will also contribute to scientific publications and presentations, evaluate facade systems, and coordinate the project with collaboration partners. This position requires a Master's degree in Biology or a related field, proven experience in biodiversity assessment techniques, strong statistical skills, and excellent organizational abilities, offering the opportunity to work on an innovative, interdisciplinary research project.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's/Diploma or comparable) in Biology or related fields.

Experience

  • Professional experience in developing and applying biodiversity assessment methods
  • Strong knowledge in the identification of wild bees
  • Experience in data management and statistical data analysis
  • Experience in creating scientific reports, publications, and presentations
  • Experience in identifying plants (advantageous)
