Job Summary

This role involves serving as the key scientific expert for RSV vaccines within the West German territory (Aachen, Saarbrücken, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt). The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will focus heavily on educating pediatricians and hospital specialists by conducting scientific presentations, presenting Phase III data and real-world evidence, and providing evidence-based information on RSV epidemiology, disease burden, and prevention strategies. Key requirements include a life science degree (preferably PhD or MD specialization), 2–5 years of relevant pharmaceutical or clinical research experience, and fluency in both German and English. The position is critical for building long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, systematically gathering medical insights on prevention strategies, and collaborating closely with internal Medical Affairs teams to ensure unified scientific communication. Extensive travel (up to 70%) within the assigned region is required, offering a dynamic field-based role with significant home office flexibility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or related Life Sciences (Master or equivalent), preferably with a PhD in a relevant field or specialist medical training in Pediatrics, Infectiology, Pulmonology, or General Medicine.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, or as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) (preferred)
  • Experience in conducting scientific presentations and medical training events
  • Proven experience collaborating with medical professionals, key opinion leaders, and scientific institutions
