Job Summary
This role is for a Web/WordPress Developer joining an innovative family company specializing in software solutions for medical professionals. The primary responsibilities include the realization and maintenance of WordPress-based CMS projects and websites, focusing on integration, templating, and the extension/configuration of WordPress plugins. You will be instrumental in ensuring quality assurance, focusing specifically on compatibility, performance, and SEO. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support and training to clients (doctors). Candidates should have a background in Media Design, Media Informatics, or a related field, and possess strong practical skills in WordPress, Responsive Web Design, HTML5, SCSS, and JavaScript. While the company welcomes both entry-level and experienced professionals, a structured, reliable, and aesthetic-driven approach is essential. The position offers high flexibility, including remote work options (with occasional team meetings in Jena) and the possibility of part-time employment (minimum 32 hours per week).
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in Media Design, Media Informatics, Design, or Product Design (or demonstrable equivalent skills)
Experience
- Secure handling of WordPress, including themes and Page Builders
- Professional experience with Responsive Web Design using HTML5, SCSS, and JavaScript
- Experience in quality assurance and optimization (SEO, Performance)
- Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Plesk, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager is beneficial (but not mandatory)

- Unrestricted/Permanent contract; Minimum weekly availability of 32 hours (part-time possible); Willingness to travel occasionally to Jena for team events/meetings.
