Job Summary
This permanent, full-time position as a Chemical Laboratory Technician and Technical Assistant is based at the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture (LWG) in Veitshöchheim. The core responsibility involves the comprehensive analysis of must, wine, and spirits components, covering sample preparation, quantification, and analysis using physical, chemical, and spectroscopic techniques. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating results from oenological experiments, documenting findings, and actively participating in the review and development of new testing methods. A crucial aspect of the role is maintaining analytical equipment and managing the Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS), alongside serving as the deputy head of the laboratory. Candidates must hold professional training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Technical Assistant, possess strong knowledge of the required analytical methods, and have practical experience in oenological analysis.
