Job Summary
The City of Duisburg is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Project Manager to actively drive the comprehensive transformation towards a modern and digital administration within the Office of Innovation and Central Services. This permanent role involves developing, leading, controlling, and supporting measures within organizational projects focused on digitalization, administrative development, and optimizing business processes. Key responsibilities include coaching project participants, acting as a sparring partner, and developing project management standards, tools, and training formats relevant to the future of public administration. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication, social, and methodological competence, coupled with a high affinity for digitalization and process optimization. Required Skills
Education
Eligibility for the recognized career path (first entry level, career group 2, general non-technical administrative service, Bachelor level) OR Second Administrative Examination (Angestelltenlehrgang II) OR Administrative Specialist qualification OR Bachelor/Diploma FH in Business Administration, Administrative Sciences, Project Management, Digitalization, or a relevant field.
Experience
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience after acquiring the required qualification.
- Desirable: At least 3 years of professional experience in leading or controlling projects.

- Must meet specific German civil service or public sector employee qualification requirements (Laufbahnbefähigung or specific administrative training/degrees).
