Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, focusing on the autonomous procurement, physical, chemical, and functional evaluation of particulate materials. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for synthesizing nano and micro magnetic particles across different reactor scales and conducting comprehensive physical and chemical characterization. Day-to-day tasks involve independently planning and executing complex laboratory experiments, meticulously documenting results according to Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines, and presenting findings and proposed solutions to the team. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Biotechnology, or a relevant Bachelor's degree coupled with at least three years of professional experience. Expertise in particle manufacturing, handling, characterization, and adherence to chemical laboratory regulations is essential, making this a crucial role in advancing material science within a leading diagnostic company.
