Job Summary

The City of Trier is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineering Technician specializing in Underground Construction or an Architectural Drafter ready to qualify as a Technician, to join the City Space Trier office. This role involves the independent development of design, approval, and execution plans (HOAI phases 1-5) for public transport facilities, including roads, pedestrian/cycle paths, and public transport systems. Key responsibilities also include creating marking and signage plans, ensuring climate-friendly planning, and coordinating services provided by external engineering firms. Candidates must possess a relevant technical qualification or be prepared to undertake the necessary evening qualification program. Success in this role requires strong CAD skills (iTWO Civil preferred), excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive, independent work style within a collaborative team environment. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible work arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Civil Engineering with a focus on Underground Construction, OR a three-year vocational training as an Architectural Drafter with the commitment to qualify as a Civil Engineering Technician (evening course over 4 years)

Experience

  • Professional experience in drafting and execution planning for public transport facilities
  • Experience in applying HOAI service phases 1-5 (Traffic Facilities)
  • Experience working independently and proactively
