Job Summary

This role involves leading and managing complex IT and digitalization projects focused on the continuous development of the German Pension Insurance's (DRV) central core system. The Project Manager will be responsible for building and refining robust organizational structures and processes for these projects, including creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive project plans, resource allocation, and implementation schedules. A key focus is on structured steering and controlling projects through all phases (initialization, conception, implementation, rollout), managing risks, and ensuring adherence to performance, time, budget, and quality goals. The ideal candidate possesses a scientific university degree, preferably in IT, Engineering, or Economics, coupled with extensive, recent professional experience managing large-scale IT projects, particularly those involving core application systems. Proficiency in various project management methodologies (classic, agile, hybrid) and standards is essential, along with strong communication skills to coordinate diverse sub-projects and manage stakeholders effectively.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university education (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) preferably in (Business) Informatics, Information Security, Engineering, Economics, or Natural Sciences

Experience

  • Long-term, recent professional experience in managing large IT projects
  • Experience in core or specialized application systems environments
