Job Summary

This role involves planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining IT-supported processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment, focusing specifically on Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules for the German Pension Insurance (DRV Bund). The developer will be crucial in designing and realizing user-friendly interfaces to enhance user experience in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, performing unit tests, and creating or modifying custom applications and reports. A core responsibility includes building and maintaining interfaces to third-party systems using technologies like Web Services, IDOC, and REST APIs. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in SAP ABAP/ABAP OO programming, practical experience in financial accounting, and familiarity with agile methodologies. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems within a stable public sector IT provider in Berlin.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma FH) in IT or equivalent qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification), or completed vocational training in IT with comparable several years of practical experience in the IT sector

Experience

  • Several years of job-relevant professional experience in IT, specifically within the SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA environment
  • Practical experience in Financial Accounting, Asset Accounting, and PSCD (Public Sector Cash and Revenue Management)
  • Initial experience in SAP FI-CO Customizing
  • Experience with authorizations, user administration, interfaces, and web development (Desirable)
