Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Working Student to join the accredited ifp Privates Institut für Produktqualität GmbH team in Ohrdruf, a leading laboratory specializing in the analysis of food, feed, water, and pharmaceuticals. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Microbiology department, primarily assisting with the practical execution of microbiological examinations on food samples, strictly adhering to operational guidelines and testing regulations. Daily tasks include preparatory work, meticulous maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and materials, and supporting general routine laboratory activities. To qualify, applicants must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, preferably in Biotechnology, Biology, or Microbiology, and demonstrate a strong interest in laboratory work. While not mandatory, initial experience gained through internships in a microbiological lab is highly desirable. Key attributes include technical aptitude, a careful and meticulous working style, flexibility, and the willingness to cover weekend and holiday shifts.
