Job Summary

This role involves contributing to significant new construction and modification projects for high voltage cable systems, from initial design through project realization and commissioning. The High Voltage Cable Engineer will be crucial in ensuring operational readiness by assisting with the acceptance and sampling of high voltage equipment (cables and cable accessories) at the manufacturer's site, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating and executing equipment testing, generating partial operational readiness declarations, and conducting complex operational analysis. A key focus is developing innovative technical solutions and concepts for 110 kV cable system technology, performing fault analyses, and participating in digitalization projects related to cable monitoring and control. This position requires a degree in Electrical or Energy Technology, proven experience in the cable sector, and a high degree of commitment and independent work ethic to support Hamburg’s largest energy distribution network operator in a future-proof industry.
