Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Expert in Control and Safety Technology (LST/CST) to manage and coordinate planning and realization services for the new Frankfurt - Mannheim railway line, specifically focusing on electrical and signaling equipment. The expert will be responsible for ensuring quality execution, coordinating planning runs, and handling all necessary interim and final approvals for technical subsystems. Key responsibilities include risk management support, reviewing engineering and construction contracts, updating costs and schedules, assisting with tender documents (VOB, VOL, HOAI), and ensuring compliance with national and European regulatory approvals. This position requires extensive experience (minimum 30 years) in railway equipment realization, strong project management skills, and a background in Electrical Engineering or related fields, offering a chance to shape critical infrastructure for future generations.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (with a focus on Electrical Engineering), or a career path qualification in the mid-level service or higher

Experience

  • Minimum 30 years experience in the realization of technical railway equipment, focusing on Control and Safety Technology (CST)
  • Professional experience in dealing with engineering firms and authorities
  • Professional experience in project management
  • Knowledge of VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures), VOL (German Procurement Procedures), and HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers)
