Job Summary

This role involves working as an Electrical Engineering Engineer for a leading global system provider of submarines and naval ships in Wedel, focusing on the design and development of electrical components and systems. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing customer requirements for electrical systems, planning and coordinating the development or selection of components, and independently executing design drafts and analyses. The engineer will be responsible for creating architectural concepts, ensuring the design meets requirements, and supporting product management in maintaining product roadmaps, including managing obsolescence. Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or a technical background with specialized training (e.g., HF, networks, battery technology, PLC-microcontroller programming, VHDL), coupled with several years of experience in E-CAD construction, PCB design, and signal processing. Strong German and good English language skills are essential for success in this demanding defense and aerospace sector environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician or System Electronics Technician with further training as a Technician and specialized training (e.g., HF, Networks, Battery Technology, PLC-Microcontroller Programming, VHDL), or comparable qualification.
