Job Summary

This role seeks a Functional Safety and Explosion Protection Engineer to ensure the integrity and compliance of electronic machine systems and process engineering plants within major German chemical and industrial parks. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the comprehensive evaluation and testing of functional safety (hardware and software) in programmable electronic systems, along with assessing process control technology and measures for electrical safety and explosion protection. You will work in interdisciplinary teams, assessing plant components against legal and customer specifications, and providing expert consultation on safety and availability of chemical and process facilities. Key qualifications include an engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, and professional experience in plant planning/operation or specialized functional safety.
