Job Summary

This role involves the crucial installation, configuration, and operation of network components, with a strong focus on Cisco technology, within a critical infrastructure environment (KRITIS). The Network Administrator will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and control of the network infrastructure, performing high-level problem analysis and troubleshooting to ensure maximum availability for the German Pension Insurance (DRV Bund). A key aspect of the job is the conception, development, and maintenance of automation scripts, specifically utilizing tools like Ansible and Python, to streamline operations. Furthermore, the role requires strict adherence to and control of IT security standards based on BSI Basic Protection guidelines. Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent IT qualification and several years of relevant professional experience, particularly with specialized network technologies such as SD-WAN, DMVPN, and OSPF. This position requires flexibility, including participation in on-call duty and occasional work outside of standard business hours.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of higher education (Bachelor or FH Diploma) in the IT field, or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification), or completed vocational training in the IT field.

Experience

  • Several years of job-relevant professional experience
  • Experience in at least one specialized network technology (SD-WAN, DMVPN, ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, ACI, OSPF)
  • Multi-year practical experience in the IT field (if substituting formal education)
