Job Summary

As a Scientific Officer specializing in Food Chemistry, you will play a crucial role in public health protection within the Saxon State Laboratory for Health and Veterinary Affairs. Your daily responsibilities will involve conducting expert analyses of food, cosmetics, and consumer goods, preparing official reports and expert opinions for court, and engaging in public relations for consumer protection. You will also be instrumental in guiding laboratory personnel, ensuring quality assurance from sample intake to report output, and providing technical support to supervisory authorities. This position requires a State-certified Food Chemist with a deep understanding of European and national food law, official testing procedures, and quality management systems (DIN ISO 17025). It's an opportunity to contribute to public safety, develop new analytical methods, and participate in professional training and expert committees.

Education

Successfully completed university degree in Food Chemistry with a qualification as a State-certified Food Chemist

Experience
