Job Summary

This pivotal role as Scientific Director involves providing dynamic scientific and conceptual leadership for the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Cancer Registry, operating across both Greifswald and Rostock locations. The Director will be responsible for the strategic direction, quality assurance, and scientific integrity of comprehensive cancer data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with strict legal mandates (e.g., SGB V). Day-to-day tasks include collaborating closely with the Commercial Management, leading scientific staff, driving the strategic expansion of quality assurance in oncology, and preparing data for public health reporting, research, and political consultation. The ideal candidate is a scientifically proven leader with high social competence, possessing a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Medicine, or Natural Sciences, and demonstrated experience in project management and leadership. Competency in epidemiological and statistical methods is essential.
