Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer or scientist specializing in environmental protection and air quality control, focusing on the German regulatory framework (BImSchG, TA Luft). The successful candidate will be responsible for creating expert reports and assessments concerning air pollution and immission control for industrial facilities (such as chemical plants and large combustion plants). Day-to-day tasks include conducting chimney height calculations and immission forecasts, supporting companies and municipalities through environmental permitting procedures, and coordinating with regulatory authorities. This position requires strong technical expertise in environmental law, excellent communication skills for presenting findings to clients and authorities, and the ability to manage projects both technically and economically from proposal creation to billing. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable engineering or natural science discipline

Experience

  • Ideally 3-5 years of professional experience in environmental legislation (e.g., BImSchG with BImSchV, TA Luft) and/or relevant technical guidelines in an industrial environment
  • Professional experience in Immission Prognostics and Air Quality Control is advantageous
  • Experience in project management from proposal creation to billing
