Job Summary

This role involves serving as the expert for Microsoft SQL Server database administration within the Joint Data Center of the German Pension Insurance (Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund), a cornerstone of Germany's social security system. The core responsibilities include taking technical ownership of the Microsoft SQL Server landscape, ensuring stable and secure operation through autonomous management of Service Lifecycle process activities (focusing on Strategy and Design), and coordinating the integration and deployment of new databases while adhering to strict quality criteria. You will define standards and guidelines for system provision and operation, develop mandatory concepts considering IT security and strategic objectives, and maintain comprehensive system documentation. The ideal candidate possesses expert knowledge and multi-year practical experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2019+) and its high-availability solutions, alongside proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell programming, and strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
