Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position in Mülheim an der Ruhr involves managing and maintaining approximately 3,000 networked PC workstations and end-user devices across the city administration. The System and End-Device Administrator will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of hardware and software, including distribution, updates, installation, inventory management, and warranty processing. Key tasks include installing operating systems, Office suites, and specialized departmental software, as well as ensuring compatibility through appropriate driver installation. The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, central administration using Group Policies, and strong hardware expertise (PCs, laptops, and printers). This role requires a structured, organized approach, cost and deadline awareness, and a commitment to continuous professional development in IT hardware and software.
Required Skills
Education
Completed professional training (e.g., IT System Electronics Technician, Information Electronics Technician specializing in Office System Technology, or IT Specialist specializing in System Integration)
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in end-device administration (hardware and software)
- Professional experience in administering Microsoft operating systems and Group Policies
Languages

- Willingness to continuously pursue further education regarding hardware and software developments; Time flexibility (occasional assignments on evenings, weekends, or aligned with school operations)
