Job Summary

This role involves acting as a key Functional Safety Expert, responsible for the testing, assessment, and evaluation of safety-critical embedded systems and applications for a diverse international client base, ranging from start-ups to industry leaders. Day-to-day tasks include guiding clients through the entire product development lifecycle, conducting thorough safety assessments, audits, and technical reviews, and serving as the primary technical consultant for secure product design. The successful candidate will possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering) and initial professional experience in designing hardware and/or software for embedded systems, specifically focusing on Functional Safety principles. This position offers a unique opportunity to specialize in various technical domains—such as operating systems, semiconductors, sensors, or autonomous functions—and potentially become a certified trainer and participant in national and international safety committees.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable field

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in the development of embedded systems
  • Experience in software design and/or hardware design with a focus on Functional Safety
  • Desirable experience using safety analysis methods (FMEA, SWCA, FTA)
