Job Summary

This role is critical for ensuring compliance with environmental, nature conservation, and quality standards within offshore operations, actively contributing to the energy transition. The engineer will act as the local operational representative for environmental protection, water protection, waste, and hazardous goods, advising management and strategically developing sustainable concepts in line with legal and operational requirements. Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance, coordinating quality assurance systems (including SAP-PM/SAP-EHS), conducting audits (e.g., OHSAS), and collaborating with authorities and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a degree in environmental engineering or a related field, possesses expertise in environmental law and quality management systems, and is qualified as a representative for waste, water protection, and hazardous goods. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on sustainability within the high-stakes environment of offshore high-voltage transmission grid facilities.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Environmental Technology or comparable engineering discipline; Qualification as Waste, Water Protection, and Hazardous Goods Representative

Experience

  • Professional experience in setting up and operating high-voltage transmission grid facilities and offshore facilities
  • Experience in quality management systems and certification procedures (e.g., OHSAS)
  • Professional experience in environmental, water protection, waste, and hazardous goods management
  • Experience in planning and conducting training and instruction sessions
