Job Summary

TÜV SÜD is seeking an Electrical Engineering Expert/Assessor to join their mission of ensuring safety, quality, and sustainability in new technologies. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the testing and evaluation of electrical systems, emergency power supplies, and fire/hazard alarm systems within industrial, commercial, and special-purpose buildings. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting on-site inspections at customer locations, creating detailed inspection reports, documenting deviations, and ensuring timely remediation of defects. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably has several years of professional experience in the planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems. You should possess strong knowledge of relevant technical regulations (DIN, VDE, VDI) and legal frameworks. The position offers comprehensive internal training, including support for obtaining official building law accreditation as an expert, making it an excellent opportunity for career progression in technical assessment and certification.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field; Technical vocational training (advantageous)

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems (desirable)
  • Experience accompanying experienced assessors during internal training (if lacking accreditation)
