Job Summary
This position requires a strategic and proactive DevOps Engineer to lead the conceptualization and rebuilding of the company's Data Warehouse (DWH) solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and integrating all necessary components to ensure a future-proof and highly available data architecture. Key daily tasks include planning, coordinating, and executing the complex migration of data and connections to the new solution, while proactively managing risks and ensuring data integrity. The role acts as the central point of contact for the data center partner, driving continuous operational optimization and leading the automation and consolidation of IT operations and support workflows to enhance efficiency and infrastructure scalability. Applicants must possess a university degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Data Engineering and demonstrate fluent proficiency in both German and English, operating within a hybrid model requiring occasional travel to Stuttgart or Ulm.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical/analytical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in strategic Data Warehouse conception and rebuilding
- Experience defining and integrating complex data architecture components
- Experience planning and executing complex data migrations
- Professional experience in consolidating and automating IT operational workflows
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel 1-3 times per month for on-site appointments to Stuttgart or Ulm (Hybrid model).
