Job Summary
This senior academic role involves leading and shaping the curriculum in Media Design, specifically focusing on 3D Technical Direction at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. The successful candidate will be a creative and artistic professional responsible for teaching advanced topics like 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, simulation using industry-standard software (Maya, Blender, Houdini), and pipeline development. Key responsibilities include supervising 3D and media projects, integrating 3D content into film, games, and real-time applications, and overseeing VFX creation, potentially incorporating AI tools. Doctorate or equivalent artistic/scientific achievements demonstrated through a portfolio of outstanding works in the design-technical field
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant full-time professional experience following the university degree
- At least 3 years of professional experience outside the higher education sector
- Experience in 3D production workflows and pipeline development
- Pedagogical aptitude and experience in gender- and diversity-sensitive teaching approaches
