Job Summary
This role involves working as a part-time Laboratory Technician (50% capacity) at the Agricultural Center for Cattle Farming, Grassland, Dairy Farming, Game and Fisheries Baden-Württemberg (LAZBW) in Wangen im Allgäu. The primary responsibilities include conducting simple chemical analyses of milk and dairy products, managing chemicals and samples, setting up orders within the Laboratory Management System (LIMS), and monitoring testing equipment such as pipettes and scales. The position also requires supporting official butter testing procedures. Candidates must have completed professional training as a Dairy Laboratory Technician, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent, or possess several years of relevant laboratory experience as a career changer. Essential requirements include basic IT skills (MS Office), a high degree of precision, initiative, reliability, and team capability. The role is initially temporary until July 2027, with the possibility of extension, offering flexible working hours and a varied, responsible position within a modern, collegial environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Dairy Laboratory Technician, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or Laboratory Technician in a comparable field. Foreign qualifications must be proven equivalent to German standards.
