This role involves investigating the temporal stability of plant communities and its impact on ecosystem functions like productivity and carbon sequestration, specifically analyzing the interactive effects of land use and climate change. The researcher will integrate and synthesize extensive datasets on long-term plant abundances, functional traits, land-use, and extreme climatic events using advanced quantitative methods. Key requirements include a PhD in Ecology (or equivalent experience), profound knowledge of ecological concepts related to stability and functional traits, expertise in handling big datasets, and excellent statistical analysis skills.
