Job Summary

The Senior Professional System Engineer will join the IT System House of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), focusing on the ERP Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics division. This role is critical for the technical and functional support, maintenance, and continuous development of IT procedures, specifically focusing on Infrastructure and Building Management with an emphasis on Access Control systems (software and hardware). Day-to-day tasks involve planning, managing, and maintaining IT systems, analyzing requirements, developing solutions, and ensuring system availability and security. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external manufacturers to create service specifications and tenders. Ideal candidates possess a university degree in Computer Science or related fields, profound knowledge of software development/operations, troubleshooting, and experience with relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL). The role offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 80% remote work, and is a permanent position within one of Germany's largest IT landscapes.
