Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to take responsibility for the maintenance and inspection of primary technology within the regional grid area, focusing specifically on substations and switchgear. Day-to-day duties involve conducting independent inspections, performing scheduled maintenance, and responding to event-related defects and faults, including participation in the on-call system. The specialist will also execute switching operations, ensure quality assurance, and potentially technically guide work groups or coordinate external contractors for complex projects if holding a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification. The ideal candidate possesses vocational training in Electrical or Energy Technology, several years of experience in medium to extra-high voltage systems, and proficiency with standard office software. This position offers flexibility, mobile working options, and the use of a modern company car for the required daily business travel throughout the service area.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology. Additional training as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Certified Technician (Techniker) is desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in medium, high, and extra-high voltage technology
  • Several years of experience in switchgear maintenance and operation
  • Professional experience in performing inspections and maintenance activities in substations
