Job Summary

This role seeks a Postdoctoral or Senior Scientist to join a new Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) project focused on neurotoxicity hazard assessment. The primary objective is to investigate the reliability of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in detecting and differentiating between Developmental Neurotoxicity (DNT) and Adult Neurotoxicity (ANT) hazards, crucial for potential new EU hazard classifications. Day-to-day tasks involve developing mechanistic hypotheses, leading computational efforts to extract, clean, analyze, and visualize large NAM-based datasets from sources like US EPA CompTox and Tox21, and synthesizing literature. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in computational toxicology, neuroscience, or computer science, and must be proficient in R or similar coding languages and GitHub. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to international research networks and regulatory science, with the added responsibility of mentoring junior scientists.
