Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Database Engineer focused on ensuring data integrity and optimal performance within complex database architectures and storage systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering and developing Db2 database structures, proactively analyzing database performance, and implementing targeted tuning measures to enhance efficiency. The engineer will also act as a database consultant, advising workstreams on technology choices, developing automated solutions for database structure management, and implementing solutions for internal clients. Key qualifications include an IT education or equivalent, extensive professional experience as a Database Administrator, and expertise across relational (Db2 for z/OS, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work and an opportunity to support mid-sized and large companies in their IT transformation efforts, with an option for permanent takeover.
