Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Linux System Engineer specializing in maintaining high availability for individualized system landscapes, primarily utilizing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). Day-to-day responsibilities include automating tasks and processes using Ansible, managing infrastructure based on VMware and NetApp, and installing web and application servers in virtualized environments. The engineer will also handle 3rd Level Support for incidents, problems, and changes, and develop and adapt shell scripts. Key qualifications include a relevant degree or vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist) and several years of professional experience with Linux derivatives, especially SUSE. The position requires flexibility for weekend shifts and on-call duties, and strong proficiency in both German and English.
