Job Summary

The GWDG is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to join their High-Performance Computing (HPC) team, focusing on developing AI-based solutions for external customers, including universities, public institutions, and companies. This role involves directly collaborating with customers to define requirements and use cases, and then designing and developing functional prototypes and demos using AI/ML frameworks, databases, and cloud services. The engineer will be responsible for integrating diverse technologies to solve specific customer challenges, such as data analysis and automation, and documenting the solutions for knowledge sharing and handover. The ideal candidate has experience with Python, application design, and Linux integration, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of applied computer science, HPC, AI, and Machine Learning within a leading national supercomputing center.
