Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the highest safety and security standards are maintained at a radioactive waste interim storage facility in Gundremmingen. The Master/Technician will primarily control and monitor the security service operations (OSD), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and site regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing operational procedures, resolving technical and operational disruptions in security systems, and acting as a competent person for fire services (FwDV 500), including briefing external emergency responders during alarms. Candidates must hold a Master/Technician qualification in a technical field like Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, possess knowledge of fire protection, radiation protection, and occupational safety, and be willing to work in shifts. The position is permanent and offers the opportunity to contribute to Germany's sustainable nuclear waste management efforts.

Required Skills

Education

Master or Technician qualification in a technical field (preferably Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications Technology/IT, or Mechatronics)

Experience

  • Qualification as a Master or Technician in a technical training profession (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics)
  • Professional experience in monitoring technical and operational systems
  • Willingness to work in shift service
  • Ability to acquire specialized knowledge according to the interim storage specialist knowledge guideline
