Job Summary

The Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting GmbH is seeking a Head of Control and Safety Technology Planning to lead and manage the organizational unit in Braunschweig. This leadership role involves full disciplinary, technical, and dispositive responsibility, including staff selection, onboarding, qualification, and development. Day-to-day, the incumbent ensures contract-compliant performance regarding costs, deadlines, quality, and approval feasibility for railway infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on Control and Safety Technology (CST). The Head actively drives acquisition processes, calculates offers, and manages financial resource allocation. Furthermore, the role involves acting as the technical project lead for complex projects, developing technical solutions for challenging tasks, and contributing actively to the strategic development of the department. Key requirements include a degree in CST, Electrical Engineering, or similar, coupled with extensive experience in planning and implementing railway infrastructure projects and knowledge of German construction and fee regulations (HOAI, VOB).
