Job Summary

This role supports the operation and strategic enhancement of heiCO, Heidelberg University's new web-based Campus Management System, focusing heavily on data integrity, Business Intelligence (BI), and system routines. Key responsibilities include co-managing Identity Management (IDM) processes, ensuring Uni-ID synchronization, and handling escalations to 3rd-level support. The specialist will expand functional interfaces, support the integration of AI-capable software components, and design and develop BI reports and queries in coordination with technical leadership. Day-to-day tasks involve maintaining and developing account synchronization routines (LDAP, Active Directory, Oracle MetaDir), implementing automation solutions, and providing first-level support via the heiCO Helpdesk. Success requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of university processes, proficiency in Python and database management, and a proactive, reliable approach.

Required Skills

Education

Funded knowledge of data management, database querying, Oracle database structures, Python programming, and project management.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data management using databases and creating database queries
