Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the operational readiness and smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure for a district administration office, managing approximately 1400 clients and 120 servers across all locations. The System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the central network components, including firewalls and routers, and implementing patch management for both clients and servers. A key focus is on IT security, specifically implementing measures according to the BSI IT Baseline Protection Compendium. Day-to-day tasks include providing internal IT support, advising various departments on hardware/software usage, and documenting the entire IT infrastructure. Candidates should possess a background as an IT Specialist or equivalent, fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Server Administration, and expertise in Cisco networking technology, coupled with a process-oriented approach (ITIL) and a cooperative, resilient work ethic.
