Job Summary

This role involves high-level advisory and coordination work focused on air pollution control within the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection, and Environment. The Policy Advisor will be responsible for steering and coordinating air pollution control planning for Berlin, implementing effective measures to improve air quality, and analyzing air pollution loads, sources, and causes using appropriate modeling techniques. A key part of the job is developing and implementing strategies to reduce air pollutants, particularly in the transport sector. The successful candidate will independently manage projects, collaborate closely with governmental, scientific, and economic stakeholders, and represent Berlin's air pollution interests in federal and state expert committees. This position requires a scientific university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant field such as environmental protection, meteorology, or climate protection, offering an opportunity to significantly contribute to making Berlin a more livable and sustainable city.
