Job Summary

This role involves performing critical maintenance, testing, and repair work on specialized IT systems and infrastructure within a military support environment (Bundeswehr). The technician will be responsible for monitoring internal and external networks, servers, and endpoints, and rapidly resolving technical malfunctions. A significant part of the job includes working with military-specific data processing and database systems, requiring expertise in operating systems like LINUX and Windows, as well as databases like ORACLE and Active Directory. Daily tasks also include documenting technical status and procedures, preparing and conducting user training on hardware and software, and providing user support. The position is full-time, permanent (pending security clearance), requires shift work (24h operation), and demands participation in ongoing professional development and training. Candidates must possess a relevant technical certification or extensive experience in IT systems administration.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Information System Technology, Process Electronics Technician, IT Specialist, or equivalent related profession.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT systems administration (specifically for former military personnel)
  • Long-term professional experience as a Data Processing Electronics NCO or IT System Administration Sergeant (Air Force)
  • Experience with military-specific data processing systems (implied)

Languages
