Job Summary
This role involves supporting the production of high-quality heavy plates through heat treatment processes, specifically managing three annealing furnaces, a water quenching system, and two straightening machines. The Heat Treatment Engineer will be responsible for production planning, coordinating process flows, and ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and performance targets. Key responsibilities include leading projects for continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing performance, ensuring the technical availability of production systems, and maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree in Materials Technology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy, possesses strong technical understanding of production plants, and has professional experience, preferably in a rolling mill or similar industrial setting. Required Skills
Education
Technical university degree, preferably in Materials Technology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a rolling mill or comparable industrial company
- Experience with SAP modules for production applications (ideally)
- Readiness to participate in weekly on-call duty for plate finishing
