Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position as an IT Administrator in Dortmund involves supporting a modern welfare association and its 58 senior centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive IT administration, focusing on the full lifecycle management of software systems, including configuration, conception, deployment, and ongoing maintenance on a client-server basis. Key daily tasks include managing hardware and software procurement, installing systems, administering user rights and network resources, and performing system maintenance and resource monitoring. The role requires deep expertise in data security, disaster recovery, and update management, as well as the ability to troubleshoot network topology issues and configure Mobile Device Management (MDM). You will collaborate closely with internal staff, providing crucial IT support, and work with external service providers to develop solutions, making this a central and highly collaborative technical role within a supportive team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in IT or a comparable field, OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker)

Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT Specialist (if vocational training route is taken)
  • Expert knowledge in Data Backup and Security
  • Expert knowledge in Disaster Recovery / Emergency Management
  • Expert knowledge in Software and Hardware Deployment
  • Expert knowledge in Support Processes
